May Charles Made Her Transition to join the Ancestors - IRSN Solid
Sun Nov 29, 2009
The comrades of the International Republican Socialist Network send greetings of solidarity and sympathy to the sisters and brothers of the All-African People's Revolutionary Party on the occasion of the passing of May Charles, mother of the greatly missed Kwame Ture.
Those who fall in struggle for their people live on in the hearts and minds of those who continue to bear forward the banner of revolution. Thus we move, Ever Forward, was Kwame advised, knowing those who have left us are never further than our affections and memories.

We have been informed by our sister Najib Malik, that Mabel Florence Charles Carmichael, affectionately known as May Charles made her transition to join the ancestors, while sleeping, on 25 November 2009.
May Charles, was more than a mother to Kwame Ture, (born with the name Stokely Carmichael), and his sisters: Umilta, Najib, Judith and Lynette, but is also a mother to the All-African People´s Revolutionary Party, (A-APRP), and our allies.
Living and struggling for 90 years, our mother May Charles contributed indirectly to the A-APRP via her only biological son, Kwame Ture and biological daughter, Najib Malik, but also directly immaterially and materially.
Funeral Services will be organized for the immediate family. Central Committee of the All-African People´s Revolutionary Party, (A-APRP) 29 November 2009
"The total liberation and unification of Africa under an All-African Socialist government must be the primary objective of all Black revolutionaries throughout the world. It is an objective which, when achieved, will bring about the fulfillment of the aspirations of Africans and People of African descent everywhere. It will at the same time advance the triumph of the international socialist revolution." --Kwame Nkrumah
