IRSN Recognized for Linen Hall Library Support
Tue May 6, 2008
The International Republican Socialist Network has been publically
recognized by the Linen Hall Library in Belfast for its continued support.
In addition to having made multiple financial donations to the historical
library, known for its tremendous collection of artifacts related to the
political history of Ireland's occupied six counties, comrades of the
IRSN have also contributed to the Linen Hall Library's collection through
donations of materials related to the history of the Irish Republican
Socialist Movement.
Peter Urban, a comrade of the IRSN, said of the Network's continued
support for the Library;
"The work of the Linen Hall Library deserves the support of all those
concerned with the documentation of the history of the revolutionary
struggle in Ireland and especially its occupied six counties -- and the
specific role of the republican socialist tendency within that struggle.
"Comrades of the IRSN hold one of the best collections of materials
relating to the history of the Irish Republican Socialist Movement
during the 1980s and 1990s. We have made contributions in the past
and will continue to do so in the future, so that the legacy of its
revolutionary heritage is not lost to the Irish working class."
